Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant/Domestic Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our facility, ensuring that laundry and domestic tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Previous hotel experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. Duties
- Operate laundry equipment such as washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper handling of linen and clothing items
- Sort, fold, and organise laundry items in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and other designated domestic spaces
- Assist with general domestic duties including cleaning, tidying, and replenishing supplies
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team with additional tasks as required to uphold the organisation’s standards of cleanliness and presentation
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel or similar hospitality environment is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within allocated timeframes
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Willingness to learn new procedures and adapt to evolving requirements
