We are looking for a Lead Solution Architect to drive architecture in Refining & Products Trading (RPT), covering trading, supply, optimisation and operations capabilities. This role shapes the technology direction underpinning critical trading and supply chain processes, influencing platforms used daily across front office, middle office and operations.
You will ensure solutions are scalable, resilient and aligned to business strategy, while reducing complexity and enabling faster delivery. This role is suited to individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, working across teams and setting clear architectural direction.

In This Role You Will
Define and evolve the architecture vision and roadmap in and across RPT domains
Lead key design decisions and ensure aligned architecture across products and squads
Provide direction on AWS cloud architecture and modern deployment approaches
Shape integration architecture across API-led and event-driven patterns
Guide teams on data architecture, models and data flows
Find opportunities for analytics, AI, ML or GenAI
Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into architecture direction
Ensure architecture standards and guardrails are applied consistently
Support delivery teams and manage technical risks
Drive alignment across front, middle office and operations
Contribute to governance forums and design authorities
Essential Experience and Requirements
Experience in architecture roles (solution, domain or enterprise architect)
Understanding of trading, supply chain or operational environments
Experience with AWS, integration patterns and data architecture
Experience defining architecture roadmaps
Strong collaborator and communication skills
Ability to operate in complex, fast-changing environments
Familiarity with TOGAF or similar frameworks
Experience working with global teams
Desirable Criteria
Experience in oil trading, refining or supply chain
Exposure to optimisation or analytics environments
Experience with data platforms
Exposure to AI, ML or GenAI
