Geospatial-CAD supports surveyors, engineers, architects, and contractors by transforming reality capture data into accurate, design-ready deliverables. We work across a wide range of infrastructure, utilities, rail, highways, and built environment projects throughout the UK and Ireland.
We are expanding our freelance network and are looking for experienced GPR Post-Processing Technicians who are interested in taking on additional project work alongside their existing employment or consultancy commitments.
The Opportunity
This is an ideal opportunity for professionals who:
· Already work in the utility mapping or GPR industry.
· Have spare capacity outside their normal working hours.
· Would like to earn additional income on a flexible, project-by-project basis.
· There are no fixed working hours or minimum commitments. You simply accept projects when your availability allows.
Responsibilities
· Process Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey data.
· Interpret underground utility signatures.
· Identify and classify buried services and underground features.
· Produce clear and accurate utility interpretations.
· Deliver processed outputs in accordance with client specifications.
· Maintain high levels of quality and consistency.
Essential Skills & Experience
· Experience processing GPR data.
· Familiarity with industry-standard GPR software (e.g. GRED HD, RADAN, IQMaps, or equivalent).
· Good understanding of PAS 128 utility survey principles.
· Ability to interpret GPR data independently.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to meet agreed project deadlines.
Desirable
· Experience with multi-channel GPR datasets.
· Experience working on utilities, highways, rail, or infrastructure projects.
· Knowledge of AutoCAD.
· Experience working alongside utility survey teams.
