Role overview
Our dedicated Healthcare and Public Law Team are now looking to recruit a Paralegal to join our rapidly growing team. The role will involve undertaking a wide range of advisory and mental health work for the NHS.
This role will involve a full-time long-term secondment to a clients’ legal team in Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust – Preston. Secondments are requested by clients from time to time as additional support. Training will be given.
Key responsibilities:

A long-term secondment to an NHS trust

Drafting witness statements
-
Research and drafting advice
-
Organising medical records
-
Preparing chronologies of medical records
-
Preparing bundles of documents for use at Inquests
-
Note taking at Inquests, meetings and conferences
-
Meeting with clinicians and nursing staff ahead of inquests
-
Running a case load of inquests and claims
-
Attending court
-
Answering the telephone and assisting with queries
-
Assisting with administration tasks when required

Demonstrates competence in own area of expertise

Ability to interact and communicate with client and keep them up-to-date

Excellent communication skills
