Job Overview
We are looking for two reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operatives to join our team at our NG16 site.
These are hands-on warehouse roles involving general duties such as preparing and packaging products, loading and unloading vehicles, moving stock, and keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised.
The successful candidates will be comfortable completing physical work, following instructions and working as part of a team in a busy warehouse environment.
Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided.
FLT experience would be highly desirable, particularly experience operating Bendi/Pivot (flexi) trucks.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick and prepare products for dispatch
- Package, wrap and label products securely
- Load and unload delivery vehicles and trucks
- Move stock and products safely around the warehouse
- Check products for damage before they are packaged or dispatched
- Ensure the correct products and quantities are prepared for delivery
- Assist with receiving and putting away incoming stock
- Keep warehouse areas clean, tidy and free from hazards
- Dispose of packaging and waste materials correctly
- Support with stock checks when required
- Use warehouse equipment safely and correctly
- Work towards daily warehouse targets and deadlines
- Follow all company procedures and health and safety requirements
- Complete any other reasonable warehouse duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Previous warehouse, production, packing or dispatch experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- FLT experience or a valid forklift licence would be highly advantageous
- Experience operating Bendi/Pivot (flexi) trucks would be particularly desirable
- Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
- Comfortable completing physical and manual work
- Able to lift and move products safely
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and warehouse processes
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Proactive and willing to support other members of the team
