Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated Domestic Abuse Practitioner to join our Family Safeguarding Team, working in partnership with the newly commissioned Domestic Abuse Service.
The Role
As a Domestic Abuse Practitioner, you will be integral to the successful delivery of the Domestic Abuse Transformation Project. You will work collaboratively to:

Provide specialist domestic abuse advice and support to the Family Safeguarding Team
- Ensure the effective identification, assessment, and intervention for children and families experiencing domestic abuse
- Work in partnership with the Domestic Abuse Hub and other key agencies to ensure coordinated responses to safeguarding

A thorough understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on children and effective safeguarding measures
- Experience in applying specialist knowledge to provide advice and guidance to colleagues
- Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders

- A positive and solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges
