A well-established and growing specialist business based in Sandbach is looking to add an Accounts & Admin Assistant to their small and friendly team.
With over 30 years’ experience within their sector, the business has built an excellent reputation and works with customers across the UK and internationally. Due to continued growth, they are now looking for someone to join their team and support both the finance function and wider office operations.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with some previous finance or administration experience who is looking for a varied role with the opportunity to develop their skills further.
Working closely with the wider team, you will provide support across accounts, customer administration and general office duties, making this an ideal role for someone looking to build a long-term career within a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Duties:
- Processing sales and purchase invoices.
- Recording receipts and payments.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Managing petty cash and expense claims.
- Completing bank and ledger reconciliations.
- Supporting general finance administration.
Administration Duties:
- Handling inbound calls and responding to emails.
- Dealing with customer and supplier queries.
- Supporting general office administration.
- Monitoring and ordering office supplies.
- Assisting with data entry, including updating online listings.
- Supporting managers with ad hoc administrative requests.
About You
The ideal candidate will have some previous experience within an accounts, finance or administration role and be keen to continue developing their career within a varied position.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a finance or administration role.
- A genuine interest in progressing within accounts (AAT study support available).
- Experience using Xero and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- A friendly, flexible and team-focused approach.
