Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Laser Cutting Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate laser cutting machinery to precisely cut sheet metal components for our bespoke furniture pieces. Your expertise will contribute directly to the quality and perfection of our final products, ensuring efficiency and safety in a fast-paced workshop setting.
Duties
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines according to specifications and job orders
- Load sheet metal materials onto the laser cutter, ensuring correct placement and alignment
- Monitor machine operation during cutting processes, making adjustments as needed for accuracy
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished parts for quality, accuracy, and adherence to design specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members on assembly, grinding, welding, or fabrication tasks as required
Requirements
- Proven experience operating laser cutting machinery or similar fabrication equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal processes and tooling
- Familiarity with hand tools, grinding, welding, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to laser operation and metal fabrication environments
- Basic understanding of assembly techniques and use of hand tools for finishing tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
