AJB Sports in Education is looking for a Primary School sports coach to join our team in the Worcester and Bromsgrove areas. We’re looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Sports Coach to deliver high-quality PE lessons and engaging sports activities to children aged 5–12 in primary schools across Worcester. You’ll help inspire young people to be active, confident, and enjoy the benefits of physical activity through fun, inclusive, and well-structured sessions.
The working days are Monday-Friday during term time with holiday camp work during the school holidays available and weekend birthday parties another option to earn extra money. The right candidate must hold a current and valid DBS, ideally on the update service or with a view to join. Good knowledge of the EYFS is preferable and you must have good communication skills with children, parents, colleagues and school personal.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a range of PE sessions and sports activities aligned with school requirements and the national curriculum
- Lead engaging lessons that support physical development, skill progression, and teamwork
- Create a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for every child
- Adapt sessions to ensure inclusion for children of all abilities and additional needs
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents when required
- Support wider school sports programmes, after-school clubs, and special activity days
- Maintain equipment and ensure health & safety standards are always followed
- Represent the organisation professionally at all times

- Friendly, approachable, and a strong role model for young people
Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school or sports coaching environment
- A recognised qualification working with young children (e.g., Level 1/2 in a chosen sport, Multi-skills, etc.)
- Up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
- Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
- Driving licence and access to own transport
- Availability during school hours (7:30am – 6:00pm)
Desirable
- First Aid qualification
- Knowledge of the PE national curriculum
