Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our team at Bespoke Home Builds LTD. This role involves supporting various trades completing carpentry, brickwork and groundwork whilst keeping the site tidy. The ideal candidate would have a driving licence with their own transport. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop practical skills in a dynamic setting whilst learning more construction knowledge to begin climbing the ranks within our company.
Duties
- Assisting with the construction of extensions and other residential projects.
- Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and dumpers under supervision
- Supporting construction activities including site preparation, material handling, and basic assembly work
- Performing general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and minor repairs
- Digging trenches, moving materials, and supporting excavation activities as required
- Ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times and maintaining a clean work environment
Skills
- Experience is desirable but not essential
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and hand tools is advantageous
- Basic understanding of construction processes and experience working with excavators or similar machinery is beneficial but not essential
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to support maintenance and installation activities
- Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior experience in construction or outdoor manual labour roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
