Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring surveillance equipment, conducting patrols, and implementing loss prevention strategies. Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks.
- Monitor CCTV systems continuously to observe activity and respond promptly to any suspicious behaviour.
- Enforce loss prevention policies by observing and reporting theft or vandalism incidents.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing first aid when necessary until professional help arrives.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
- Control access points by verifying identification and issuing visitor passes as required.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or emergencies.
Experience
- Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not essential; relevant training will be provided.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation, surveillance techniques, and loss prevention strategies is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid or emergency response is desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents accurately. This role requires a responsible individual capable of maintaining composure under pressure while ensuring the safety of all persons on site.
