About the Role
Avondale Foods is a leading food manufacturing company producing fresh and chilled food products for major retailers across the UK, including Marks & Spencer, Morrisons, and Waitrose.
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Production Operatives to join our production team. This role involves preparing, processing, and packing high-quality food products while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and process food products using both manual methods and food production machinery.
- Ensure products are correctly identified and traceable throughout the production process.
- Pack finished products according to customer specifications.
- Check product quality, packaging, and use-by dates during production.
- Apply labels accurately and ensure all product information is correct.
- Complete production paperwork and quality records accurately.
- Carry out manual handling duties safely and in line with company procedures.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene at all times.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and organised.
- Follow all company policies relating to food safety, health and safety, and product integrity.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Basic spoken and written English.
- At least 6 months' previous work experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail.
- Willingness to follow procedures and health & safety guidelines.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and work in a fast-paced environment.
