Job Summary
We are looking for a Fabric Warehouse Assistant to join our small, friendly warehouse team in Bradford.
You will play an important role in the packing, despatch and warehousing of luxury suiting fabrics, manufactured on site and exported to customers around the world.
The role is varied and hands-on, including operating fabric rolling machinery, preparing customer samples and pattern book lengths, stock control and assisting with the day-to-day running of the warehouse.
We are looking for someone with a “can-do” attitude, who enjoys working as part of a small team, has a good eye for detail and takes pride in doing a job well.
Textile experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and carefully packing fabric rolls for despatch, with particular attention to presentation.
- Operating fabric folding and rolling machinery, including accurately measuring fabric to half width.
- Cutting and preparing fabric samples for customers and pattern books, while maintaining accurate records.
- Loading and unloading fabric rolls, using appropriate manual handling equipment.
- Supporting stock control and general warehouse operations.
- Using the TMS system to enter despatch details, check inventory and process orders.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good basic computer skills.
- Ability to work accurately and methodically.
- Ability to carry out manual handling and lifting duties.
Desirable Skills
- Current FLT licence, or willingness to undertake training.
- Previous experience within a textile, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills.
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach to work.
