About the Role
There is an exciting opportunity for a Dual Children’s Registered Manager to register, develop, and oversee a wonderful home within the rural Accrington area. Our client is seeking an experienced professional manager to build, develop, and support their team and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children in their care. Key Responsibilities as Registered Manager:
- Full autonomy of the home, being integral to daily operations and enabling young people to thrive.
- Inspire and lead the team to run a warm, friendly home and provide a safe, supportive environment to help children and young people achieve positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations and maintain high standards of care and quality.
- Responsible for organizing work patterns, facilitating training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices.
- Lead by example in applying a therapeutic approach to meet the needs of children.
- All staff play a key role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in care.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce, or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Residential Childcare)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing an Ofsted home rated good or above
- Experience working with children and young people with challenging behaviours, including mental health and behavioural problems
- Full UK driving license
- Excellent knowledge of current legislation, including The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004, and other legislation relevant to residential children’s homes
