We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Cook to join our friendly early years setting. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children’s wellbeing by preparing balanced menus that inspire good eating habits from an early age.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare fresh, wholesome, and tasty meals and snacks daily, catering to a range of dietary needs.
- Plan menus that prioritise nutrition, flavour, and variety.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen safety standards.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to support mealtime routines.
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen organisation efficiently.
About You
- A genuine passion for providing healthy, nutritious, and enjoyable meals to children.
- Experience working in a similar role, ideally within an early years or educational setting.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (Food Hygiene Level 2 or above desirable).
- Creativity in menu planning and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
