Senior Systems Administrator | Milton Keynes | Full-Time
We're looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our growing team in Milton Keynes.

Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Systems Administrator, you'll:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
- Administer Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, and Azure services.
- Configure, maintain, and optimise servers, storage, and virtualised environments.
- Support network infrastructure, user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and routine maintenance activities.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Ensure systems comply with security standards and best practices.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system records.
- Support IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and technology implementations.
- Mentor junior IT team members and provide technical guidance where required.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Strong experience administering Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, and virtualisation technologies.
- Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtual infrastructure platforms.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and firewalls.
- Experience with backup, recovery, and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to system optimisation, security, and continuous improvement.
Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified, Azure Administrator Associate, VMware VCP, CompTIA Server+, CompTIA Network+, ITIL, or equivalent are advantageous but not essential.
