JOB PURPOSE
The role of the HGV Driver is to:
- Support the business by carrying out driving duties and assist the workshops with general cleaning duties.
Department/Business/Location: Swindon Truck Centre
Reports to: Branch Team Lead
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- At the request of the service team, carry out driving jobs as and when required.
- Carry out a pre-delivery quality check and ensure the vehicle meets customer expectations.
- Handover vehicles at the point of delivery.
- Ensure all documentation is accurately completed in line with business standard.
- Maintain safe working practices and standards, including driving all vehicles with due care and attention for all customers, road users and pedestrians.
Skills & Requirements
Essential
- Full UK driving licence.
- Smart appearance.
- Competency in numeracy and literacy.
Desirable
- Advanced motoring qualification.
Experience
Desirable
- Previous HGV class 1 experience.
- ADR license desirable.
