Oakhouse Foods North West is a local family run franchise, based on Poulton Business Estate. Oakhouse Foods have been delivering frozen ready meals to customers in their homes for over 30 years. The main customer base is retired over 60s.
This job role requires mainly picking and packing of orders in preparation for delivery. The suitable applicant must also be willing and able to answer phone calls, take messages and input orders, therefore needs to have a good telephone manner and have a basic knowledge of computers. Due to business requirements, the successful applicant would also be required to make deliveries to cover holidays & sickness and also undertake leaflet dropping during quiet periods. It is essential that you are fully flexible and able to work as part of our team.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Picking and packing orders
- Goods inwards
- Keeping temperature records
- Replenishing stock
- Keeping a clean and tidy working environment
- Answering the phone during busy periods
- Taking orders during busy periods
- Printing documents for order picking
- Cover for driver holidays, therefore a driving licence is essential
- Occasional leaflet dropping
Hours worked would be Monday - Friday, approx. 5-6 hours per day and we are flexible on start/finish times, however you must be able to work additional hours to cover holidays as required (sufficient notice will be given).
No Bank Holiday Monday working and no working from 24th December - 2nd January.
Experience is not essential as full training will be given. Applicants should be aware that it is a physical job and involves lifting of boxes, working in walk in freezer rooms and picking of orders in a timely manner.
