Hours: Ad-hoc, minimum 4 hours per shift
Contract: Temporary – covering the summer student turnover period

We're looking for a reliable, hands-on Concierge & Handyman to join our friendly team on a temporary basis at a student accommodation site in Coventry, covering the busy summer turnover period between student move-outs and move-ins. This is a varied, ad-hoc role combining front-of-house guest support with practical maintenance and light admin duties – ideal for someone personable, capable, and comfortable turning their hand to different tasks throughout the day.
The Role Includes:
Concierge & Guest Support:
- Welcoming and checking in students on arrival
- Showing students to their rooms and giving a tour of the property
- Helping students carry luggage
- Acting as a friendly first point of contact for residents
Handyman & Maintenance:
- Carrying out light repairs and general maintenance around the site
- Checking rooms are fully ready and presentable ahead of student arrivals
- Reporting hazards or maintenance issues beyond the role's scope
- Assisting with general upkeep of communal areas and facilities
Admin:
- Basic administrative tasks related to check-in and site records
- Keeping accurate logs of tasks completed, issues reported, and room readiness
General:
- A little light cleaning/hoovering as needed
- Emptying bins and managing waste safely
- Keeping communal and shared areas clean, tidy, and presentable
What We Need From You:
- Strong reliability and good time management
- A friendly, approachable manner when dealing with students
- Practical, hands-on ability – comfortable with basic maintenance and handyman tasks
- Confident handling light admin duties
- Ability to work independently and adapt across different tasks day to day
- Physically able to carry out manual tasks, including lifting/carrying luggage
- Previous experience in a concierge, maintenance, handyman, or similar multi-skilled role preferred
- Available to work flexibly throughout the summer turnover period
