About the Role
We are looking for reliable self-employed Van Owner Delivery & Collection Drivers to join our team across the North East.
The role involves delivering and collecting parcels from parcel shops and commercial properties as part of an allocated daily route.
You must be reliable, punctual and committed to providing a professional service to customers and businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver parcels to commercial properties and customers
- Collect parcels from commercial properties and parcel shops
- Complete allocated delivery and collection routes
- Work approximately 5–8 hours per day, depending on the route
- Load and unload parcels safely and securely
- Complete proof of delivery/collection where required
- Provide excellent customer service
- Report any issues or delays promptly
- Keep your van clean, safe and roadworthy
Requirements
- Own suitable van required
- Full UK driving licence
- Appropriate business-use insurance
- Previous delivery/collection experience preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own route
- Smartphone for navigation and delivery systems
- Ability to safely handle parcels
Working Pattern
Monday to Saturday
Approximately 5–8 hours per day, depending on the allocated route and daily workload.
Pay
£20 per hour
This is a self-employed contractor position, so you will be responsible for your own tax, National Insurance, vehicle costs and other self-employed obligations.
