Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, programming, and optimising computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precise components according to technical specifications. Duties
- Develop and write CNC programmes based on engineering drawings.
- Set up CNC machines, ensuring correct tooling, fixtures, and parameters are in place before production.
- Monitor machine operations during production runs, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programme or machine issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimise machining processes and improve product quality.
- Maintain detailed records of programmes, modifications, and machine settings for future reference.
Skills
- Proven experience in programming CNC machines, preferably with experience in various types such as milling or turning centres.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and material properties.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications accurately and translate them into effective programmes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the capacity to troubleshoot programme or machine issues efficiently.
- Organised with meticulous attention to detail to ensure precision in all aspects of programming and machining.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.

Pay: £38,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
