An exciting opportunity for an experienced clinical leader
High Meadows Care Home is seeking an experienced, compassionate and motivated nurse-qualified Registered Manager to lead our established team and oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing and dementia care.

The successful candidate must be a Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN and have the clinical knowledge and leadership skills required to oversee residents with complex nursing and dementia care needs.
About the role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day operation and clinical governance of the home. You will provide visible, supportive leadership and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and consistently high-quality care.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strong, approachable and inspiring leadership to the whole team.
- Maintaining effective clinical oversight across the home.
- Leading clinical governance, audits, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Ensuring safe and effective medication management, care planning and risk assessment.
- Monitoring residents’ clinical needs and ensuring appropriate action is taken when their health or condition changes.
- Ensuring the service meets all CQC requirements, NMC standards and relevant legislation.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive and person-centred culture throughout the home.
- Maintaining high standards of nursing, dementia and residential care.
- Supporting residents to live meaningful, comfortable and fulfilling lives.
- Recruiting, developing and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Supporting nurses and care staff through supervision, competency assessments, appraisals and professional development.
- Ensuring effective safeguarding, infection prevention and control, falls management and pressure-area care.
- Managing occupancy, staffing, budgets and the overall commercial performance of the home.
- Building positive relationships with residents, relatives, employees, commissioners, GPs, community healthcare teams and other professionals.
- Responding professionally to feedback and using it to support continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the home remains welcoming, well organised and responsive to residents’ changing needs.
Essential requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A recognised nursing qualification.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and an active NMC PIN.
- Previous experience managing a care home or holding a senior clinical leadership position within adult social care.
- Experience supporting older people with dementia and complex nursing needs.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, medication management, risk assessment and quality assurance.
- A good understanding of CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act and current best practice.
- The ability to register with CQC as the home’s Registered Manager.
- A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop nursing and care teams.
- Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making skills.
- The confidence to manage budgets, staffing levels, occupancy and service performance.
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, an equivalent qualification, or a willingness to work towards it.
- A satisfactory enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the United Kingdom.
