Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in various care settings including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with prescribed schedules and protocols
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in cases involving dementia or Alzheimer's care
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to personal care environments to maintain hygiene standards
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required
- Monitor health status and report any concerns or changes to senior staff promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Certification or training in first aid is preferred
- Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and effectively manage behaviour challenges
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in medication administration and care routines
- Compassionate attitude with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving transportation of clients
- Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
