Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and plumbing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. This role requires a practical individual with a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Main Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing, fault diagnosis and maintenance of gas and oil fired boilers.( if applicable)
- Installation, fault diagnosis and maintenance of bathrooms and showers/ heating systems and domestic installations.
- Installation of waste systems.
- Installation of Radiators, Cylinders and Tanks.
- Installation of pipework including crimped copper, Stainless steel crimped, Ability to solder fittings, MDPE, Soil, both push fit and Solvent weld.
- Installation of Valves and Controls.
- Minor heating / plumbing repairs.
- Ability to use a flushing machine
- Adhering to health and safety guidance at all times.
- Other duties as required.
Skills Needed
- Mechanical support of installations in a Commercial and Domestic environment.
- Servicing, fault diagnosis, maintenance and responding to breakdowns with clean and dirty water systems.
- Provide support on technical issues for customers and staff.
- Methodical working with accurate planning and reporting skills
- Work to recognised industry standards at all times.
- Willingness to assist other trades as/when required.
- Site manage and support projects from start to finish.
- Ensure all paperwork for project is kept up to date, returned as required daily.
- Support the Manager with any duties required.
- Working Knowledge of pipework installations and pumps (essential)
- Electrical aptitude (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to learn new skills and undertake further training courses
Training/Qualifications needed to undertake role:
- Qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Plumbing and Heating and/or Gas/Oil qualifications as applicable
- Full driving licence - Essential
- Have a current CSCS card - Desirable
- Minimum 2 years’ experience is desirable
