Are you a creative and proactive marketing and business development professional with a strong track record of building relationships, generating opportunities and helping organisations grow? Do you understand the importance of patient voice, community insight and co-production in improving health and social care?
Join Evolving Communities to help us raise our profile, strengthen our brand and develop new business opportunities that support our mission: giving people and communities a voice to influence positive change in services.
If you are ready to help us grow our impact and champion independent, high-quality engagement, we would like to hear from you.
About Evolving Communities
Evolving Communities is an independent Community Interest Company that helps local people and organisations shape the way health and social care services are run in their communities. We specialise in patient, public and stakeholder engagement, insight and evaluation, supporting organisations to listen well, understand people’s experiences and use what they hear to improve services.
We provide bespoke consultancy services, manage and support independent health and social care champions Healthwatch Dorset and Healthwatch Wolverhampton, and host Maternity and Neonatal Voice Partnerships across several areas. Our work is rooted in independence, collaboration and a commitment to making sure the voices of people and communities are heard, listened to and acted upon.
The role
This new role will support delivery of our two-year strategic plan by raising the profile and brand awareness of Evolving Communities. You will help ensure organisations responsible for listening to patients, service users and communities know they can commission us to provide independent, expert engagement, insight and evaluation services on their behalf.
As Marketing and New Business Lead, you will develop and deliver strategies that identify, generate and convert new business opportunities. You will build a strong understanding of our services, market and competition, and act as an ambassador for Evolving Communities with commissioners, partners and clients.
You will develop and maintain relationships with new clients, understand their needs, shape compelling proposals, support funding applications and procurement bids, and use insight and evidence to demonstrate the value and impact of our work. You will also lead a team of external consultants who will support delivery of new business opportunities.
Working closely with the Chief Executive, Chief Operating Officers and Communications Lead, you will deliver marketing activity that strengthens our visibility, credibility and reputation, while supporting agreed targets and KPIs linked to our strategic plan.
Who we are looking for
You will have experience of marketing, communications, income generation or business development, with a strong ability to build professional relationships and spot opportunities for growth. You will be confident promoting services to public bodies and partners, including NHS organisations, local authorities, Integrated Care Boards, public health teams and voluntary sector organisations.
You will bring excellent communication, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, develop clear marketing materials, use data and evidence persuasively, and support proposals, pitches and bids.
You will understand the importance of patient voice, participation, community insight and co-production, and be committed to independence, inclusion, accountability and impact. You will be creative, proactive and solutions-focused, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team.
Above all, you will be enthusiastic about helping Evolving Communities grow sustainably so that more people and communities have meaningful opportunities to influence the services they use.
Not sure you meet every requirement? Let us decide. We know that people from under-represented groups may be less likely to apply if they do not meet every point in a role description. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment and strongly encourage you to apply.
