We are looking for caring, reliable and compassionate Bank Residential Care Workers to join our dedicated team at a 19-bed residential care home in Cardiff.
This is a bank (zero-hours) position, meaning there are no guaranteed hours. Instead, shifts will be offered based on the needs of the service, making this an ideal role for those looking for flexible work.
Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, evenings and nights, including weekends and bank holidays.
About the Role
As a Bank Residential Care Worker, you will play an important role in supporting residents to live safely, comfortably and with dignity. You will work alongside an experienced team to provide high-quality, person-centred care that promotes independence, choice and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centred care to residents.
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting where required.
- Support residents with eating, drinking and maintaining good nutrition.
- Promote independence and encourage residents to participate in daily activities.
- Build positive relationships with residents, relatives and colleagues.
- Maintain accurate daily records and report any concerns to the senior member of staff.
- Support residents with mobility using appropriate moving and handling techniques.
- Ensure the home remains clean, safe and comfortable for residents.
- Follow individual care plans and risk assessments.
- Promote dignity, privacy, choice and respect at all times.
- Comply with safeguarding procedures, health and safety requirements and all company policies.
About You
We are looking for individuals who:
- Have a genuine passion for caring for others.
- Are reliable, compassionate and committed to delivering high standards of care.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Can work flexibly across mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
- Previous experience in a residential care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- Hold (or are willing to work towards) a Health & Social Care qualification.
