We are seeking a caring and dedicated Support Worker to join our team.
We specialise in supporting people who have varying needs as a result of physical and long term neurological conditions including
- Cerebral palsy
- Brain injury
- Huntington’s disease
- Motor neurone disease
- Multiple sclerosis
- Muscular dystrophy
- Spina bifida & hydrocephalus
- Stroke
Our teams are highly skilled and trained to deliver specialist and complex nursing care and have significant experience with tracheostomy, PEG care, wound management and the provision of end of life care.
What You’ll be Doing
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide emotional support and companionship.
- Assisting with mobility and physical exercises tailored to residents' needs.
- Engaging residents in meaningful social activities and promoting a positive environment.
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 1 + years’ experience as a Care Assistant in for younger adults with Physical disabilities
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding of patients needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
- Must be Moving & Handling Trained.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.71 per hour
