The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll tackle complex technical challenges across the full software development lifecycle. From designing secure, scalable applications to delivering AI-assisted solutions, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of clinical technology. Working across frontend, backend, and cloud technologies, you’ll help modernise clinical trial delivery and improve patient recruitment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and deliver scalable software solutions using modern engineering practices.
- Build applications with Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Shape cloud infrastructure using AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Influence architecture, engineering standards, and technical decisions.
- Contribute to AI-assisted software development with a focus on quality and governance.

Requirements
Must-Have:
- Commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer or Full Stack Software Engineer.
- Strong knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience developing backend services using Python and FastAPI.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative, product-focused approach.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience within healthcare, life sciences, or regulated software environments.
- Knowledge of clinical trial platforms, medical data, or healthcare technology.
- Exposure to AI, large language models, or AI-assisted software development.
- Experience with Playwright, Pulumi, or modern DevOps practices.
