Duties:
- Assist the head chef in managing the kitchen operations and staff
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste meet customer expectations
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff members
Experience:
- Proven experience as a sous chef or similar role in a restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
