This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, planning fun activities, and making a positive difference in their day.
We are looking for staff members who have experience working with children but, above all, individuals with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn! This role provides the opportunity to gain SVQ3 qualification (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7, whilst in the workplace.
After School Club:
- Approx. 18/20 hours per week.
- Monday to Thursday 2.30 PM to 6.00 PM and Friday 11:30 / 11:45 AM to 6:00 PM approximately.
- Term Time only.
Main Duties:
- To help create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can play, learn and build confidence.
- To prepare and provide healthy snacks, that complies with current food guidelines and food safety legislation.
- To assist with the handover/collection of children to other areas of the school.
- To assist the management in ensuring that children’s individual needs are recognised, and engaging them in establishing and maintaining boundaries for their behaviour.
- To build constructive relationships and communicate with parents/carers.
- To support the management in ensuring that the club is a safe environment for all.
- To ensure that the club’s child protection policy is followed at all times.
- To assist with day-to-day administration and record keeping, including incident reports and risk assessments.
- To work as part of the staff team, and to contribute to the promotion of the centre and Kidzcare.
- To participate in playwork and other relevant training and development activities.

Pay: From £12.81 per hour
