We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our friendly team within the Gastroenterology Endoscopy Dept. at BHRUT. We are a forward thinking and expanding JAG accreditted unit. This role is mainly based in our newly built decontamination unit at KGH.
This role would be decontaminating a range of endoscopes for endoscopy, urology and theatres. The participant will participate in the traceability of the endoscopes and the packaging for off site use and transportation to required units.
- Participate and carry out agreed standards of care
- To work as part of the Endoscopy team, ensuring high quality of care to patients
- To communicate with all colleagues and patients by the demonstration of good communication skills, particularly when there are communication barriers
- To ensure anti-discriminatory and non-prejudicial practice at all times
- To undertake and successfully complete CDU’s local policy document and training pack

We run a Women’s Health Hub in Ilford; an Ageing Well Centre in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at Barking Community Hospital and at St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
