Coburn & baker, are looking for a experienced barista and front of house to man our newly opened point of sale/ cafe at our Modern bakery in Bevendean.
Our bakery is located in a leafy part of Brighton, with an unusual amount of natural light and workspace.
This is an exiting progression for our brand and a chance to make a closer connection to with customers and the local community.
We are looking for an experienced barista who has plenty of experience with serving the public and who has the right atitude and friendly manner for such a role.
You will be expected to be represent us to the public and help to create a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere.
The roles could also include social media responsibilities and a relevant experience and artistic flare will be an advantage.
The shop is open 7 days a week and we will be quite flexilke with the candidate's choice for which 5 days will be chosen by the candidates.
Ideally the candidate will be working over Fridays , Saturdays and Sundays and 2 days off during the week.
Shift times will be 07:00 to 15:30, Monday to Saturday and 07:30 to 14:30 Sundays
The role will include:
- Preparing the shop/cafe for the day.
- Preparing coffees and other hot/cold drinks to a high standards.
- Stocking bakery goods as needed and other items such as cakes, drinks, sandwiches and other. (There will be no food preparation involved in the role).
- Handling payments.
- Adhering to food safety procedures and records keeping.
- Social media presence and responding to the public on the platforms.
- Helping with stock control and ordering.
- End of trade procedures and closing down.
Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
