Reporting to the site's Wash department team leader, you will be one of the key people in driving the line on all fronts, throughput, H&S, KPIs, quality, GMP etc.
Optical Grader Operator position requires a person with mechanical knowledge to be able to operate a wash line. Previous knowledge on a CELOX machine or other optical graders as well as experience in using NAV 365 is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- To follow SOPs for your area
- Monitor the upkeep of the machinery, ensuring operation to its fullest potential
- Ensure that you always adhere to company policy and guidelines
- Ensure that company personal hygiene standards are maintained
- In order to maintain a safe working environment, ensure that you tidy up as you work
- To promote the Health & Safety at work of yourself and your colleagues, communicating all risks to your Wash Team Leader
- To undertake asset care tasks
- To undertake any other duties requested by your Wash Team Leader
- Carry out operational tasks on NAV
- To monitor goods going to the waste and the bad in the finished product going for packing
- To ensure that all machinery & plant is cleaned against the cleaning SOP
- Ensure that GMP standards are kept
- At the start of each production shift, ensure that all relevant line pre-start checks have been carried out and signed off. Confirm that any follow-up actions required have been reported to the Wash Team Leader
- Ensure training is provided to new trainees and their training records completed
Requirements:
- Previous knowledge on a Celox machine or other optical graders
- Experience using NAV 365
- Strong numeracy levels
- Excellent spelling and grammar
Pay and Benefits:

- Day shift - 4 on 4 off
- Hours - 06.00-18.15 (1 hour unpaid break)
