HGV Driver – Join our logistics team
Location: Nationwide (UK) with very occasional European travel
Hours: 40 hours per week (exc lunch, typically 08:00 – 17:00)

James Cargo Services Ltd provide international forwarding and logistics solutions, delivering cargo by air, sea, and road across global markets. As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable and professional HGV Driver to join our fleet and play a key role in keeping goods moving efficiently and safely.
The Role
This is a varied and hands-on driving role covering deliveries and collections across the UK, with the occasional opportunity for European trips (with plenty of notice given).
You’ll be the face of the business when interacting with customers, ensuring every delivery reflects our high service standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out nationwide deliveries and collections
- Checking and handling cargo to ensure accuracy and condition
- Completing all relevant delivery and vehicle paperwork accurately
- Ensuring loads are safe, secure, and compliant
- Performing daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance (refuelling, fluid checks, etc.)
- Keeping your vehicle clean, presentable, and roadworthy
- Providing excellent customer service at all times
- Supporting warehouse or general duties when required

Essential Qualities
- 3-5 years HGV experience including in date CPC hours
- Strong sense of responsibility and care for cargo
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Alert and focused when driving
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
