Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of breads, cakes and pastries with attention to quality, presentation, and consistency
- Assist in bread and food production processes, including assembling ingredients and managing portion sizes
- Follow established recipes and food safety standards to ensure the highest level of hygiene and safety
- Support kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of ingredients
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily food preparation goals and deliver timely service
- Bake baked goods or desserts as needed, ensuring they meet quality standards
- Maintain knowledge of current bakery trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings
Requirements
- Proven experience in bread and cake preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene and sanitation
- Experience with baking and culinary techniques preferred
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Kitchen experience involving food production and restaurant operations is highly desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
