Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced to join our team. As a , you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food production and maintaining food safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties: -
Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards - Supervise and train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safety procedures.
Ensure that all food products are stored, handled, and prepared in accordance with food safety regulations - Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and improve existing recipes
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen area
Assist with scheduling staff and managing labour costs
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant industry - Knowledge of food production techniques and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
