Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic <PERSON>/ganger to join our construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization, coordination, and supervision of construction activities on-site. Your proactive approach will help ensure that projects progress smoothly, safely, and efficiently. As a ganger, you will serve as a key link between the site management team and the workers, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing daily work schedules and assigning tasks to team members
- Supervise and support workers to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently
- Monitor safety protocols and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards or issues
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and site management to facilitate smooth operations
- Maintain accurate records of work progress, safety incidents, and daily reports
Experience
- Prior experience working in construction or related trades is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction processes, tools, and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead a team effectively
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: £14.37-£25.85 per hour
