Company Overview:
We are a small care home based in Port Talbot looking for a general maintenance handyman to join our team.
The successful applicant will be motivated, self-driven and organized with attention to detail. You will have proven experience working within the field of maintenance & repairs and be able to:
· Conduct general maintenance inside and out and constantly keep on top of the fabric of the building and the grounds.
· Have basic knowledge, familiarity and experience in plumbing/carpentry/decorating etc.
· Action identified defects to appliances, equipment and furniture
· Test fire alarm system, maintain water temperature records and maintenance logs
· Work on your own initiative
· Multitask different jobs simultaneously
· Assist with other duties as and when required
You must have your own transport as you will need to pick up items on a regular basis. Mileage is paid. You also need to have your own tools and equipment required to carry out the job. Ideally, you would also have care home experience.
