Part-Time Retail Assistant / Gaming Host
We are looking for a part-time team member to join us at Will’s Toy Shop.
The role is for 1 shift per week, with additional shifts available to cover staff holidays, busy periods and business trips. This role would suit someone who has at least two weekdays available, in addition to weekend availability. Friday availability is essential. The shop trades 9 am–9 pm, Monday to Friday, so shifts may vary.
Some experience as a Dungeon Master, games host, or in a similar fantasy role-play setting would be desirable.
The role will involve:
- Serving customers and supporting day-to-day shop tasks
- Processing and putting away stock
- Carrying stock safely up and down stairs
- Supporting gaming events and community sessions
- Using the till system and helping with general shop duties
- Working independently during quieter periods or solo shifts
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable, with excellent timekeeping
- Confident working alone when required
- Able to work independently
- Confident dealing with customers
- Physically able to carry and move stock safely
- Presentable and maintains good personal hygiene standards
- Flexible with shifts and willing to support the needs of the business
Essential requirements:
- Friday availability - all year round
- English, Maths and two other Standard Grades, or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- A responsible and mature approach to work
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with Odoo or another till system
- Experience in retail
- Experience running or supporting tabletop role-play games
