Role Details :
- We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Onboarding Coordinator to support the People Lead with the mobilisation and onboarding of personnel from the French supply chain into Altrad’s nuclear operations.
- The role will provide end-to-end coordination across the pre-employment and onboarding journey, acting as a key link between the People Lead, French supply chain partners, candidates, recruitment, onboarding, security and operational stakeholders.
- You will help ensure that personnel are mobilised efficiently, compliantly and with a high-quality candidate experience, while maintaining accurate visibility of onboarding progress, risks, dependencies and readiness for deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding and mobilisation process for personnel supplied through the French supply chain, from offer acceptance through to day-one readiness.
- Support the People Lead with workforce mobilisation activity, providing accurate progress updates, identifying risks and escalating issues that may impact deployment.
- Act as a central point of coordination between French supply chain partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, timely actions and effective resolution of onboarding queries.
- Coordinate the collection, review and tracking of required pre-employment documentation, onboarding information and compliance evidence.
- Maintain accurate onboarding trackers, workforce data and management information, ensuring records are complete, current and suitable for reporting and assurance purposes.
- Monitor onboarding milestones and dependencies, proactively chasing outstanding actions and highlighting individuals or cohorts at risk of missing mobilisation dates.
- Support the coordination of security, site access, induction, training, medical, right-to-work and other mobilisation requirements, working with the relevant specialist teams.
- Provide a professional and consistent candidate experience, recognising the additional support that may be required for personnel mobilising from France into a UK nuclear project environment.
- Engage with recruitment, HR, payroll, security, training, operational teams and supply chain stakeholders to ensure a smooth handover into employment and deployment.
- Support continuous improvement of onboarding processes, controls and reporting, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance and the experience of candidates and stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
Essential
- Experience of coordinating onboarding, mobilisation, recruitment administration, HR operations or a similar people-focused process.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple candidates, workstreams and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging with candidates, supply chain partners and senior internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, trackers and management information.
- Ability to identify risks, resolve issues proactively and escalate appropriately to maintain mobilisation timelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams, with the ability to learn relevant HR and onboarding systems.
- A collaborative, service-focused approach with the ability to work across organisational and cultural boundaries.
- Ability to handle personal and commercially sensitive information with discretion and in accordance with relevant data protection requirements.
- Relevant HR, business administration or equivalent qualification/experience.
Desirable
- Experience within the nuclear, engineering, construction or other highly regulated industry.
- Experience supporting international workforce mobilisation or working with European/French supply chain partners.
- Understanding of UK pre-employment, right-to-work, security vetting, training or site-access processes.
- French language capability or experience working effectively with French-speaking stakeholders.
