Nursery Enrichment Practitioner (Yoga, Dance & Wellbeing)
Location: Acton, London
Hours: 1 hour per week (Every Wednesday) 10:20am - 11:20am
Contract: Freelance / Part-Time
Pay: £30 per 1-hour session (paid on the last working day of each month)
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and reliable Nursery Enrichment Practitioner to deliver engaging Yoga, Dance and Enrichment Classes to children within a nursery setting in Acton.
The successful candidate will lead fun, interactive and age-appropriate sessions that encourage physical development, creativity, confidence, mindfulness and social interaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and is passionate about supporting their early years development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a high-quality 1-hour yoga, dance and enrichment session every Wednesday.
- Plan and deliver engaging activities suitable for children aged 2–5 years.
- Create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage children's physical, emotional and social development through movement and play.
- Adapt activities to meet the varying needs and abilities of the children.
- Maintain excellent behaviour management using positive reinforcement.
- Communicate professionally with nursery staff before and after each session.
- Ensure all safeguarding, health and safety policies are followed at all times.
- Arrive promptly with all equipment required to deliver the session.
Person SpecificationEssential
- Experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool, primary school or similar early years setting.
- Friendly, enthusiastic and confident personality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Passion for promoting children's wellbeing through movement and creative activities.
- Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 (or above) in Early Years, Childcare, Teaching Assistant, Dance, Sports Coaching or a related qualification.
- Experience delivering yoga, dance, music, movement or enrichment programmes to young children.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding training.
