Duties
- Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy vehicles and machinery.
- Use schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately.
- Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Conduct welding and metal fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment structures.
- Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy vehicle systems and equipment repair.
- Proficiency in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for structural repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
- Knowledge of assembly processes for heavy machinery parts or components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and effectively.
Pay: £22.14 per hour
