Truck Driver - Delivery Driver
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to designated locations throughout the UK and Europe
- Plan and execute delivery routes based on customer orders and delivery schedules
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays
- Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle
Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers, dispatchers, and team members effectively
- Ability to navigate using GPS systems or maps to locate delivery destinations
- Physical stamina to handle loading and unloading of cargo, as well as sitting for extended periods of time while driving
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and safe handling of goods
