Job Description
An opportunity has arisen within the Hygiene department for a full time Hygiene Operatives. Reporting to the Hygiene Supervisor, the main purpose of the role is to perform hygiene duties within the Coating and Hand Assembly departments which will include the following key accountabilities;
· Manual handling and cleaning of all machinery and premises to a required standard in accordance with the specified schemes of work to meet safety, microbiological and physical standards.
· Appropriate use of chemicals following training to ensure correct chemical use.
· Carry out Hygiene tasks as directed by the Hygiene Management team.
· Complete accurately paperwork as required for the tasks undertaken.
· Carry out line cleaning tasks of equipment and surrounding work areas as necessary.
· Support other technicians to become proficient in hygiene operation.
· Attend training as required to carry out tasks efficiently, effectively and safely.
· Adhere to all Hygiene standards and procedures required for the area.
· Completion of end of activity paperwork, reporting of non-conformances.
· Supporting people on new tasks.
Essential Requirements:
To be successful in this role you will ideally have hygiene experience in a similar role or knowledge of operation processes. A flexible approach is essential as the core hours are subject to change and the applicant will need to cover additional hours if required. A fork truck licence is desirable as elements of the role require the movement of waste material to the dedicated waste area.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday - 8pm-4am. However, flexibility with these hours will be required to assist with the cover of weekend hygiene.
The rate of pay for this role is £14.00 per hour, with an additional £2 per hour for working over night.
