The Role
We are looking for a reliable, hands on Site Foreperson to join our experienced team. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for daily site management while having the ability to work on the tools.
Responsibilities include:
- Promote and enforce high standards of site safety
- Lead and motivate a small on-site team, and manage subcontractors
- Plan daily, weekly work sequences ensuring labour and materials are accurately scheduled
- Read, Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications and method statements
- Keep site documentation, diaries, variations and records accurate and up to date
- Order site materials and oversee deliveries
- Carry out skilled trade duties as required to support project delivery
- Maintain high standards of finish and quality control
- Act as the link between site, client, and office management
- Regular liaison with our project manager (line manager)
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Previous foreperson, or supervisory experience
- Experienced trade background (ideally carpentry or other skilled background)
- Must have strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to deliver consistent, high-quality work with minimal supervision and within agreed timescales
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Experience with traditional or rural construction
- Interest in energy-efficient or Passivhaus principles
