Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Educator to join our team. This role involves nurturing and supporting the development of young children within a caring and stimulating environment. Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities to ensure their safety at all times
- Foster a warm, inclusive, and supportive environment that encourages children's independence and confidence
- Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and well-being
- Organise daily routines to ensure consistency and structure within the nursery setting
- Support colleagues in managing classroom behaviour and implementing educational programmes
- Contribute to the ongoing development of curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards
- Assist with administrative tasks such as record keeping, attendance monitoring, and reporting
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
- Strong management and leadership skills to guide both children and team members effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices in childcare
- Childcare qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous
- Valid driving licence is desirable for roles involving transportation or home visits
- A caring, patient, organised approach with a genuine passion for early childhood education
