A new opportunity has arisen at Richmond House Kindergarten based in Hale! We are looking for an experienced, qualified Early Years Nursery Manager to join our management team on a full-time permanent basis all year round.

The ideal candidate will bring a sense of awe and wonder, creating a fun and magical experience for the children, while effectively leading, directing, and supporting a large staff team alongside the Management Team and Directors. You will play a vital role in supporting the wider team and colleagues in their early years working roles, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment.
Richmond House Kindergarten is well supported as part of a local group of nurseries already known and well ran in the area; the nursery group prides themselves on creating a nurturing environment where every child's potential is recognised and celebrated.
- Leading the effective day-to-day leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the setting operates smoothly and successfully.
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team of dedicated early years professionals, creating a positive and inspiring culture.
- Driving outstanding educational practice across the nursery, ensuring consistently high standards of care, learning and development for all children.
- Leading on staff development, coaching, performance management and wellbeing, empowering practitioners to develop their skills and careers.
- Delivering and coordinating education-based training programmes to support continuous professional development.
- Acting as the nursery Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDCo), working closely with families, the Local Authority and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children.
- Overseeing planning, learning environments and educational experiences throughout the nursery, both indoors and outdoors, ensuring they are stimulating, inspiring and developmentally appropriate.
- Monitoring children's progress and educational outcomes using Nursery management software
- Supporting recruitment, safer recruitment processes, induction and onboarding of new team members in partnership with the in-house Recruitment Team.
- Building strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, creating trusted partnerships that support every child's development.
- Maintaining links with the local community and representing the nursery at events and initiatives where appropriate.
- Supporting occupancy, quality assurance and administrative processes to ensure the nursery continues to thrive.
- Assisting with financial reviews and operational planning to support the nursery's ongoing success.
- Ensuring full compliance with the EYFS, safeguarding, SEND, health and safety, and all relevant statutory requirements.
- Supporting preparations for Ofsted inspections and maintaining inspection readiness at all times.
- Work collaboratively alongside Management Team and Nursery Directions
- Acting in accordance with all nursery policies, procedures and best practice guidance.
The ideal candidate must have:
- A full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years. An EYT, EYP or other higher qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
- At least five years' experience working within an early years setting.
- Experience working in a Management position within Early Years.
- Previous leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, coach and develop others.
- Excellent knowledge of the EYFS, child development and current statutory legislation.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Previous SENDCo experience (or a willingness to undertake SENDCo training) would be desirable.
- Experience of monitoring children's progress and using assessment to drive educational outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, colleagues and external professionals.

Salary: s tarting from £31,800 per annum plus additional nursery bonus scheme
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Location: Hale, Altrincham
Interview: Interviews will be held from W/C 17th August, with flexible times possible to work around current commitments
Anticipated start date in role: from 1st September 2026 onwards

Except for occasional training you are not required to work evening or weekends. The setting is closed on all bank holidays, we also do not open on Christmas Eve! The nursery closes over Christmas until the first working day in the New Year.
