We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver, with experience of working within a busy yard, ideally with tubulars or scrap handling, to join our team full time.

- Job Type – Full Time (40 hour week)
- Start Date - Immediately
- Core Hours – Monday to Friday 8-5
- May be opportunities for additional hours (i.e. Overtime)
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Full UK Driver’s Licence, clean preferred
- Experience of working with tipper, flat bed and curtain-sider vehicles
- Digital tacho card
- Current CPC card, including understanding of driver’s hours and work time directive
- Experience of working with tubulars and/or scrap metal (preferred but not essential)
- Basic experience of working with forklifts
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out general driving duties as required; while adhering to company’s driving policies and procedures
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of all relevant vehicles/machinery for delivery/collection to/ from relevant sites, as requested. Whilst adhering to 3rd parties site requirements
- Completion of Vehicle Inspection forms, prior to use and the reporting of any defects found
- Ensuring the submission to the company of their Digi Card (vehicle & driver) for downloading, at a minimum of 28 day intervals
- Safely loading/unloading from trucks/containers
- Adhering to site QHSE requirements
For this position looking for someone who has a HGV Class 2 license and yard experience, this role will include working outdoors in all conditions so not an easy role at times. For the right candidate looking to gain additional skills and experience there will be the potential for additional training with the inspection, pipe handling elements/etc. of the yard operation.
