We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development/ Capture Coordinator to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. This is a remote role that will require occasional travel.
Salary: up to £31,000
HOURS OF WORK – Monday – Friday 37.5 Hours
The role sits at the heart of Amey’s Work Winning Process, supporting the transition from opportunity identification and selection into structured capture and bid delivery. The Capture Coordinator will work with the Business Development Manager to develop and maintain the Capture Plan, which will include client and competitor intelligence, win strategy, stakeholder mapping, and evidence base required to support gated decisions
The role will work collaboratively with Business Development, Bid Management, Operations, Commercial, Estimating, Legal, SMEs and Executive Sponsors to ensure that capture activity drives decisions rather than simply documenting them after the fact. This reflects Amey’s Work Winning principle that the process should support deliberate, proportionate and recorded decisions, and focus effort on the right opportunities at the right time with the right level of investment
What you will do:

Opportunity Identification & Qualification - Support opportunity identification, qualification, and early-stage assessment, including Gate 0/1 submissions and intelligence gathering.

Capture Planning & Coordination - Develop and maintain capture plans, coordinating inputs from BD, Bid Management, SMEs, and Operations while tracking actions and decisions

Client & Competitor Intelligence - Gather, analyse, and maintain client, competitor, and market intelligence, including stakeholder mapping and CRM updates.

Win Strategy Development - Support the creation of win themes, value propositions, differentiators, and high-level solutions aligned to client needs and capture insights

Governance & Gate Management - Prepare governance and Gate approval packs, coordinate submissions, and track decisions, actions, and conditions.

Bid Handover & Support - Ensure effective transfer of capture outputs to Bid Management and provide ongoing bid support as required

Systems & Continuous Improvement - Maintain accurate CRM data and capture documentation, supporting lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
What you will bring:

Experience in business development, capture or bid environments.

Strong analytical and organisational skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and inputs.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial awareness and understanding of bid processes

Strong Microsoft applications experience, particularly PowerPoint and excel
