Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Residential Deputy Manager to join our team at a solo home in Stoke on Trent.
e ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a compassionate approach, and relevant experience in Ofsted homes.
.The Deputy Manager will assist in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, oversee daily operations, and support staff in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the young person.

Duties
- Assist the Residential Manager in overseeing daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans tailored to the young persons individual needs, including medication administration where appropriate.
- Supervise and lead care staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of care.
- Facilitate effective communication between children, families, staff, and external agencies to promote transparency and collaborative support.
- Assist in organising activities and programmes that promote development, independence, and social interaction among residents.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to care plans, incident reports, and regulatory compliance.
- Support staff in managing challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism while upholding dignity and respect for all children.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young Peoples Workforce
- Demonstrable experience in supervising or managing teams within a children's home.
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Driving Licence.
- Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills tailored to working with children requiring specialised support.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of safety and care.
INDPERM
Pay: £41,036.00-£41,651.00 per year
